Here are common questions we get :

Can we use your services to get a video to celebrate someone who has long been gone ?

Can we use your services for a montage to offer as a gift to someone (Friend, family, etc.) ?

Can we plan our own video while still being alive ?

If the funeral home where we are having our event is not linked to Internet
and the express DVD delivery service is not fast enough to get a copy on time, what can be done ?

With respect to music, do I have the right to use any music I want in my video montage, or do I need to use music provided by Productions In Memoriam ?

What about visual art (paintings, images, etc) ?

What if I want the montage to be presented via a public medium (TV, YouTube, etc)?

I checked your address on Google and it showed me a house.
What's up with that? Don't you have a big office or something ?

Who are you people ?

I noticed very little religious icons or references in your work, videos, etc.
Is religion a problem for you at Productions In Memoriam Inc. ?

Why do you offer your cards by download instead of sending them yourself towards 'potential clients' ?

Q : Can we use your services to get a video to celebrate someone who has long been gone ?
R: Of course! This is done very often.

Q : Can we use your services for a montage to offer as a gift to someone (Friend, family, etc.) ?
R: Of course you can… the only condition is to obtain the authorization of a next of kin of the person you wish to have this production made for (contact us and we will provide the appropriate form). This is also something more and more people are doing these days (and a video production lasts quite a bit longer than flowers!).

Q : Can we plan our own video while still being alive ?
R: Yes… This is also an emerging trend.
As a matter of fact, we are currently offering " In Posteritatem", a new production, which is designed specifically for this.

As you will see, it is designed to make your self-managed production planning much simpler.
While this is now available, we also recommend taking a look at our 'Ad Vitam Aeternam' productions;
these can be 100% customized and is quite .

Q : If the funeral home where we are having our event is not linked to Internet and the express DVD delivery service is not fast enough to get a copy on time, what can be done ?
R: There are a few ways to proceed…
The best thing to do is to signify us your special needs, in writing or by phone (during taking of your order — we have a special section for comments and requests in our order forms) and we will guide you step by step.

However, in order to give you a sense of what kind of solutions is available, here is an example:
1) Since you have access to Internet, we can provide you a Web page address to download a full copy of the SD or HD video (depending on your software and DVD burner combination) that will be posted on the Internet for private screening.
2) You download the appropriate video.
3_v.1) With either 'QuickTime' or 'Windows Media Player 10' (both are available for free and work on Windows) you will be able to show the video from your computer…
...or perhaps...
3_v.2) If your computer has a DVD burner, you will be able to burn a DVD (perhaps not as sophisticated as the one you would get from us, but it should do for the emergency at hand) and have it playing on a regular DVD player.

NOTE: As for Funeral homes that are Certified Affiliated Member Partners (CAMP), the video is automatically available in HD, even if they are not linked to Internet…
(The technical 'How' of this is up to us...)

Q : With respect to music, do I have the right to use any music I want in my video montage,
or do I need to use music provided by Productions In Memoriam ?

R: Easy question, yet this one is touchy and requires a complex reply…

The short answer is Yes, but there are serious provisos.

It depends on what you wish to do with your montage.
We always prefer to use our own music bank (and we are working hard and fast to enlarge our musical catalogue) just so that there is 0% chance of any trouble with respect to copyright laws.

Sometime, our clients like to share the montage with distant family members and tend to do so via social medias (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any other public and uncontrolled venue). In this case, using our music is the best way to avoid any trouble with anyone, legal wise.

On the other hand, funeral homes, hotels and dance halls usually pay a special fee (for a permit) to allow their clients to enjoy their music, whether it is provided by a hired DJ / music service or by the clients themselves.

We can therefore use music from one or more of your privately purchased music collection, within the montage provided:
a) The montage will be played only in a private and not for profit manner (obviously the case for a funeral);
b) The montage will be shared only in a private manner (i.e. not on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any public and uncontrolled venue);
c) We will need to identify the appropriate copyright information, about the music piece you are providing us with, at the end of the montage (just like in any commercial movie/video).
d) You will have to sign a music waiver form declaring that you supplied the music for the montage AND that you acknowledge that Productions In Memoriam Inc. did not provide said musical pieces for the montage AND that you are 100% responsibility for maintaining the montage private (since we do not have any control over what you do with the montage copies you may receive from us and we are to be exempt from any wrongdoing with respect to the music you have provided for us to use in the assembly of your selected montage.)
e) And finally, should you download the montage (since we do allow you to do so via a private viewing webpage with a password access to said montage), you will be 100% responsible should the video be shared, leaked or distributed via a non-private manner (i.e. via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any public and uncontrolled venue).

Why are we so strict and righteous about this music subject ?
Because we respect copyright laws and artists and would like to spend our time better serving clients (usually people in need) rather than spending time and money having to prove ourselves within the legal system.

Q: What about visual art (paintings, images, etc) ?
R: Pretty much the same as with music.
We respect copyright laws.
And also, we will be glad to do a montage for you with your privatly supplied visual material.

Q: What if I want the montage to be presented via a public medium (TV, YouTube, etc)?
R: Either you use:

a) 100% safe material (your images and non-copyrighted visual material and or footage) in combination with a selection from our music bank.
    or
b) 100% safe material (your images and non-copyrighted visual material and or footage) in combination with music for which you can provide proof of rights to use in a montage for mass media (usually will cost about $ 300 to $3 000 per 30 seconds of music being synchronized to video).

Q: I checked your address on Google and it showed me a house.
What's up with that? Don't you have a big office or something ?
R: Yes indeed, we work from a small 'headquarter' (even if our servers and our team are mighty).
There are a few things that make this possible…

A) All of our artistic and technical team/staff work in networking (telecommuting) via Internet.
B) Our robust Web and video servers are based in secure places in the United States (with better than 99.999% uptime) and also in England.
C) ur small headquarters are well protected in spite of its commonplace appearance.
D) We like peace and quiet & we do not need to have any 'storefront' since we serve our clients in remote areas and via Internet.
E) And in closing on this subject: yes… we are looking at relocating our facilities to an even better place (Peaceful countryside + Fiber Optic Internet are two 'must-haves' for our work environment).
Until we are 100% ready to move, we will keep it 'lean and mean'… thus passing savings to our patrons.

Q: Who are you people ?
R : The "About Us" section gives you a sense of this.
For more information, let's just say that we are people that prefer serving people more than doing anything else.
Also…Besides being technically or artistically very adept, these are the 'soft' requirements for all that are working with us:
(Our mantra if you will)

We like Music
We like to play
We even like to work (only well done work that is!)
We like nature
We like to think, understand, imagine and conceive
We like greatness (in life and people)
We like the world (and often 'pray' for it to always get better)
We like respect for Arts, Ideas and anyone who contributes positively to this world.
We like being with our friends, family and nearest and dearest
Also…
WE LOVE PEOPLE

Q : I noticed very little religious icons or references in your work, videos, etc.
Is religion a problem for you at Productions In Memoriam Inc. ?

R : Of course not! We just prefer dealing with and serving people rather than any given religion.
We are ready, willing and able to serve anyone with anything they desire (religious icons and all) if need be.
All you have to do is ask and we will do our best to respond appropriately.
Having said all this, we serve 'good and decent people'.
As for diversity, we are not judging… We are just serving all to the best of our abilities (So Welcome to all good people out there).

Q : Why do you offer your cards by download
instead of sending them yourself towards 'potential clients' ?

R : We consider this way of doing things as 'cleaner', more transparent and even democratic for all.
Also, we consider that we do not need to know / have e-mail addresses of Mr. or Miss 'Anyone' whom is probably dealing with grief and are, unfortunately, probably already overtaken by solicitations. We only wish to tactfully have our logo and web site info displayed unobtrusively at the base of our cards. If people wish to call upon our services, that is a good thing. If not, it is not a big issue for us either…
We are rather busy already serving well a lot of good people; all this without e-mail lists or solicitations.
Our good work does the work for us.
This is good in itself.
